Skype is launching its services for IPhone from tommorrow(31 March 2009) and on Blackberry from the month of May. Most of us were using Skype on their IPhone using third party tools such as Fring until now. Skype is releasing its services on IPhone in order to increase its subscribers/users by providing free calls between Skype users. In this release, not all the features supported by Skype PC version is available. The first release doesn't support Video,SMS, Conferencing and voice mail and they have promised to take into consideration in the forthcoming release.
Major drawback is mobile data connection(GPRS/EDGE) cannot be used for connection.Skype will use only Wifi for its application to run.

How can IPhone 3.0 software be jail broken when it is not released yet? Well, the iPhone developers are proactive and work has started on 3.0 Beta version released earlier this week(17th March 2009). The Developer's first verdict "Any Device running 3.0 software can be Jail broken" but have already warned 3G users to be careful with the Beta version if they have already jailbroken. Keep in mind, Apple have claimed this software SDK will be more helpful/useful for Developers to create new applications.
IPhone 3.0 official release date is not yet finalised and to be announced imminently. Are you one among those freak who can't wait to try out the IPhone 3.0 features? There is an alternate solution and it's known as "FAKE THE IPHONE 3.0". Being an IPhone user for quite sometime, I would like to try my hands on this. IPhone 3.0 software Features unveiled yesterday contains more than 100 new features.Though most of the features are present even in a basic mobile phone, Apple feels proud to advertise their latest 3.0 software.
The 3.0 software will feature

This software allows developer with less restriction for developing new applications.For Example, An application to use bluetooth to be able to transfer files between IPhone users. The software will be available free for IPhone users and 9.5$ for Ipod Touch users.
Microsoft have released Service pack 2 for Windows Vista without much noise. Unlike Windows 7 Beta download, it is not required to log in to Microsoft site to download the service pack. The service pack is currently available in 5 languages which includes English,French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Windows server 2008 SP2 is also available along with Vista SP2 as a single standalone installer.
