Windows 7 Beta release for Public testing - January 9, 2009

Windows 7 Beta will be available for general public from Friday 9th January,2009. Microsoft announced the release yesterday and allows only a total of 2.5 million downloads. Ballmer unveiled the final release of Windows 7 will be at the same time next year irrespective of the financial situations and economic crisis. Microsoft also announced the release of Windows server 2008 R2 shares much of the code base with Windows 7.
