MxTube is an application available from cydia source on Iphone that allows you to download the video from YouTube or even stream from YouTube. MxTube will be available for those who have unlocked/jailbroke their IPhone with Cydia source installed on it. MxTube allows you to search for a video and display the following options

AroundMe helps you to find out the information about your surroundings. AroundMe is an excellent application for travellers. This is a free application available on the AppStore. You need a wireless connection or a Edge connectivity(GPRS) on your IPhone to use this application. As soon as you launch the application, a list of options will be available such as Restaurant,Bars, Hospitals and Hotels. Select what you are looking for and AroundMe displays the places you requested for with the Address,Phone numbers,Map and many more. I am sure no one would like to use one option for sure, the option to know nearby Apple Stores :-)
As expected the development team have release the new version for VLC player soon after the release of Mplayer's update. Though there is an improvement in this version of the player, the video display size remains the same disappointing a lot of people. The video is displayed only on the top half of the screen and impossible to view it in fullscreen. The new update is available on cydia source if anyone wants to try their hands on.
Read more...I happened to see the newer version of Mplayer a couple of weeks ago. As the older version was at its testing stages it had a lot of issues as mentioned in my previous post. The newer version seems to be much improved and a bits stable than the older verions. The Skip Forward, Skip backward works in this version without much of a delay and even the movie can be played at any point by dragging the marker which wasn't working in its earlier version.This update can be downloaded from cydia source.

VLC player a popular and widely preferred media player is now available for iPhone users. Vlc4iphone v1.6.0 is the latest release available for jail broken iPhone users with cydia source. The features include ability to stream video and audio content from Pc to iPhone and also internet radio browser and player.
The video resolution is not great adding to the decreased video size occupying only half the screenspace as shown in the picture.
Mplayer , a media player supporting mpeg4,h.264,wmv,mp3,real media and t-dmb formats is now available on iPhone. This player could be installed if you have a iPhone unlocked with cydia source on it. This player could be used to play the supported files from /private/var/media. Though the player assists you from converting your media files to Mp4 format, these are still at development stage and requires improvement in its performance.
The controls are present at the bottom of the screen.(worked in iPhone2G version 2.2)
