Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2 Released

Microsoft have released Service pack 2 for Windows Vista without much noise. Unlike Windows 7 Beta download, it is not required to log in to Microsoft site to download the service pack. The service pack is currently available in 5 languages which includes English,French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Windows server 2008 SP2 is also available along with Vista SP2 as a single standalone installer.

This is just the first release of Vista Service pack 2 and the final release is expected in the second quarter of 2009.

Microsoft set to open Own Retail stores

Microsoft is set to launch its own retail stores in US and around the world. As Windows Vista became the most criticised operating system, the Retailers reduced their sales on Windows in their stores. Microsoft was forced to take some action to overcome this situation and promote the sales of its next windows, Windows7 which ultimately resulted them to open their own retail stores in US. Microsoft is ready to open their stores in each and every mall in US to attract the customers and make them buy Windows7 even during this recession period.
